I was looking into the case of Kacy Michelle Ross, and something that really stands out to me is the social media silence since June 9, 2020. We live in a time where everyone is constantly posting or sharing something online, so it feels really significant that there's been nothing from her for so long. I can't help but wonder if maybe she was using social media to stay connected with people while she was moving around between Idaho and Washington. Her last post might hold some kind of clue. Did she mention any specific people, places, or plans in her last posts that could give a hint about where she might have been headed? It seems crucial to look into that period of her life more closely just before she went silent, given how important her online activity might have been during her time of struggling. It’s also gut-wrenching to consider possible safety risks she faced, especially as an Indigenous woman. I hope there's a way to bring more awareness to the role social media may play in cases like hers.
