Hey everyone, just jumping into this discussion about Erik Whaley. I’ve been thinking a lot about the discovery of his rowboat nine miles offshore. What's puzzling me is how his personal belongings were left in there, almost like he planned on coming back soon. It’s confusing, right? Was there bad weather that day, a sudden storm maybe? I haven't been able to find any reports or weather data from March 28, 2009, that would suggest anything unusual. Did anyone come across info on this? It just feels like there might be a crucial piece missing that connects everything. Also, does anyone know if the Coast Guard found any indication of mechanical issues with the boat?
