Hi everyone, I've been curious about this Ricky Walker case and something's been on my mind—the rifle found in the back seat of Ricky's Oldsmobile. Specifically, the Marlin 30/30 with the mounted scope and camouflage case. I'm wondering if anyone knows if the authorities looked into tracking that rifle's serial number or any possible sales records. It's such a unique item; you'd think it would stand out if someone tried to sell or pawn it locally or even out of state. If it was indeed intended for a transaction, whether for money or something else, did it happen before or after Ricky went missing? Do any firearm enthusiasts here know of similar cases where tracking a missing gun led to a break in an investigation? Just thinking it might lead us to some new angles... or maybe jog someone's memory who knows more.

I've been following the Richard "Ricky" Walker case for years, and something that's always puzzled me is the rifle he supposedly had in his car. It's a Marlin 30/30 with a mounted scope in a camo case—pretty distinctive, right? It seems odd that nobody has ever found this weapon or any trace of it. Given how unique the rifle is, you'd think someone might have tried to sell it or pawn it off somewhere. If it was used in a transaction or trade, would there be a record, some kind of clue? Maybe someone in the area has seen it in the hands of someone else over the years and didn’t quite make the connection. I'm curious if investigators have followed this angle extensively. It could be significant if the rifle shows up somewhere, even after all these years. Just thinking out loud here—what do you guys think? Could this be a lead worth pursuing?
