I came across the case of Marten Van Harten while looking into disappearances involving aviation, and something struck me as odd. It's like his plane just vanished into thin air after taking off from Florida. Does anyone else think there's a possibility of mechanical failure, or could this be more sinister? What puzzles me is the lack of concrete search details from back in '88. It's almost as if this wasn't given the thorough investigation it deserved. Anyone here familiar with how such cases were typically handled back then? Would they have alerted maritime or coastal patrols immediately, or is it possible key opportunities were missed?
