I was digging into some archived news reports about the *Sea Esta* incident and noticed something peculiar. It was mentioned that the boat may have been overloaded, which perhaps contributed to its sinking, but it got me wondering about the kind of weight distribution they had. Given they were all scuba divers, I expect they had quite a bit of gear with them. Does anyone know if they kept detailed logs or plans of their dives, especially concerning the amount of equipment they took on board? It seems strange that experienced divers wouldn't consider the boat's capacity. Also, does anyone have insights into how the buoyancy compensators were factored into this? It just feels like there might be overlooked details here that could shed more light on how things went so disastrously wrong.
