I recently came across the case of Herbert Lee McKinnon II, and one thing that stands out to me is how long it took for him to be reported missing. Eleven days is a significant delay, especially considering his medical condition. I wonder if the family thought he might have had one of those "walkabouts" where he just needed some time to himself. Or maybe they assumed he'd be safe because of his familiar daily routine? It’s unsettling to think that someone can just vanish like this. Also, has there been any discussion on why more immediate action wasn't taken with his history of cognitive impairment? Maybe an approach for similar cases would be quicker involvement from authorities. Any thoughts on how delays like this could be avoided?

Has anyone considered looking more into the possibility that Mr. McKinnon might have been disoriented that day, causing him to wander further than his usual route? It’s concerning that it took 11 days for the disappearance to be reported. I know the family might have been hoping he’d come back on his own, but that’s a long time before starting a search. I’m also curious if the authorities have revisited known locations outside his neighborhood—places where he might have felt comfortable or familiar due to repeated visits in the past. It seems like canvassing or questioning residents and shop owners along his known walking paths could yield some clues. Also, with the Purple Alert in place, I wonder if his case is being shared with other jurisdictions, in case he wandered outside Orlando. It’s puzzling that there are so few leads. Thoughts on possible next steps the community or law enforcement might not have pursued yet?
