Has anyone else looked into the theory about the local bootlegging operations interfering in Delvacchio and McCullough’s disappearance? I’ve been digging into some old newspaper archives and found out about the moonshiner’s still that was raided just a day before they vanished. It’s intriguing to think this timing was purely coincidental. If McCullough was indeed mixed up with these moonshiners, maybe he knew more than he should have, which could’ve led to a deadly confrontation. I’m curious if any locals back then recall anything about those illegal operations or if there are still folks around Gadsden County who can share more information. Seems like a promising lead when you think about the timeline of events. Anyone got more on this angle?
