Has anyone else been following the disappearance of Kenneth Humiston from Naples? While everyone's focused on the extensive search efforts (which is understandable), I've been wondering about the type of equipment he had on that kayak. It's mentioned that his fishing gear and cooler were found onboard, but nothing specific about the condition or types of those items. Being an outdoorsman with a background in coastal engineering, I imagine he had quality gear. Could there be any clues based on what was or wasn't there? For instance, if any of his usual gear was missing or any signs of struggle were evident on the kayak, it might indicate what happened. Just thinking out loud here and hoping for any insights from other local experts or fishing enthusiasts who might know the area.

Hi everyone, I wanted to bring up an aspect of Kenneth Kirby Humiston's disappearance that's been on my mind. Has anyone else thought about the weather conditions on that day? Being such an experienced outdoorsman, it's hard to imagine him getting caught off guard. I looked into some weather reports, and it seems like the conditions were starting to change around the time he was out near M.A.Y. Reef. It’s possible that the weather could have shifted more rapidly than anticipated, even for someone with his knowledge and experience. Considering his expertise and love for coastal activities, he would have likely been aware of any impending weather changes. However, the Gulf can be unpredictable. Could the unpredictable weather have played a more significant role in this? It's unsettling to think someone so familiar with the area and its conditions could still fall victim to its sudden changes. Would love to hear what others think about this angle.
