Has anyone else been wondering about the odd GPS route Hossfield's boat took on the day he disappeared? I mean, an experienced boater like him taking such an unusual, zigzag path seems really out of character, right? It's almost like he was trying to evade someone or something at sea. I've been thinking about the possibility of another vessel being involved—could he have maybe encountered someone at sea that day? It's just baffling that the boat ended up 50 miles away on Melbourne Beach, especially with the engine still running. Has anyone seen anything in other cases that might explain the bizarre movement of a boat like this? Perhaps some kind of navigational or mechanical glitch? Just trying to make sense of it all, and I'm curious to hear what others think about this unusual part of the case.
Hey everyone, I'm relatively new to this forum but have been following the Dale Allan Hossfield case pretty closely. Something that caught my attention is the strange sequence in Hossfield's boat GPS data. It's odd that no fishing gear or bait was found on board, yet the boat took a curious path 40 miles out before turning north. It just doesn't add up for me. If someone set out to fish, especially someone as experienced as Hossfield, you'd think they’d be more prepared, right? Plus, the idea that he would reroute so drastically without any clear reason makes me wonder if something else went down out there.
Does anyone else think there might be more to this GPS trail? Maybe the boat's change in direction could hint at some kind of meeting or exchange? I feel like this might be an overlooked angle that could unravel more about this puzzling disappearance. Would love to hear others' thoughts or any similar cases you might know.
