Did anyone else notice the detail about Menacher's neighbor witnessing the apartment being cleared out with a U-Haul? It's such a chilling piece of the puzzle. The neighbor’s claim that they were told the residents were killed on an expressway is really unsettling. Was it just a cover story? If this mysterious woman and the men loaded up the U-Haul after the group went missing, who were they, and what was really being moved? Personal effects? Evidence? Could this indicate they were relocated rather than murdered, or was it just a way to clean up after everything went down? Also, why would someone tell a neighbor such a specific and grim story if there wasn't some truth to it? This bit doesn't just fit neatly into the theory of them going into hiding or being killed because it leaves too many unanswered questions. Anyone have thoughts or similar stories about weird witness accounts that opened up more theories?

Hey all, I’ve been digging into the case of Ivan Gutierrez, Angela DeLawder, Gertrude Menacher, and Charles Gibson from 1981, and something curious struck me about the U-Haul sighting. The neighbor who claimed to see people clearing out Menacher’s apartment reported being told of a fatal expressway accident. The idea of moving all their belongings makes me question if they intended to disappear permanently or if someone else had plans for them. If their disappearance was planned, what if it was a tactic to convince everyone they’d met an untimely end to distract from their real intentions?
