Hey everyone, I've been deep diving into the strange case of Lilawattie Buerattan and Moses Lall's disappearance, and I can't help but wonder about the role of the exotic bird trade in all this. Considering how these birds were such a big part of their lives and business, is it possible that their shift from importing to breeding might have ruffled some feathers in the industry? We know the wildlife trade can be murky, and these birds were worth a lot. Could competition or past business tensions have been a factor here? It's tough to imagine people willing to leave those birds to die, so whoever did this had a motive strong enough to overlook it. Would love to hear thoughts from folks who know more about the ins and outs of the exotic pet scene back then.
Has anyone else been puzzling over the van that Gobin drove in Georgia? I was thinking about how odd it is that he used Lall's name when he was caught. If Gobin really saw two men force Moses and Lilawattie into a white van, why would he be driving Lall's van just days later? Could the vehicles have been switched as some sort of misdirection? It's such a strange choice that raises so many questions about the timeline and motives here. Plus, he used a false identity that he couldn't maintain for long. Did he think he wouldn't get caught, or was it a last-minute, desperate move? Also, the birds being taken is particularly puzzling. What kind of operation would have needed to move both people and birds swiftly like that? Would love to hear other thoughts on this aspect of the case!
