Hey everyone, I was reading up on the "Joe Cool" case, and something that's been bugging me is the backpack they found with Archer and Zarabozo. I mean, a blowgun, darts, and knives? It seems odd to me. Were they planning on using those for something specific during their trip, or is it more indicative of a planned hijacking from the start? It's just such an unusual collection of items to have unless you're up to something nefarious. Does anyone know if there's been any more discussion on why these particular items were packed? Would love to hear your thoughts on this part of the story.

I've always been intrigued by the smaller details that often go unnoticed in cases like the "Joe Cool" tragedy. One thing that stands out to me is the role that Zarabozo’s claim of innocence played in his trials. Despite being convicted, Zarabozo has continuously stated that Archer was the sole mastermind behind the murders, forcing him into compliance through threats. I'm curious about how often such claims are seen in these cases and the impact they may have on jury decisions. Could Zarabozo’s insistence on his version of events be an attempt to negotiate a lighter sentence, or is it possible he had a different role than what’s been presented? I’d love to hear your thoughts on how claims of innocence are handled in high-profile cases, especially when they contrast sharply with confessions from co-defendants.
