I've been following the tragic case of little Major Turner, and it just breaks my heart thinking about how vulnerable he was. As a community, we need to focus on the broader issue of why individuals with known histories of violence are often allowed to have unsupervised access to children. This isn't just about one heartbreaking incident, it's about the systemic failures that put kids like Major in harm's way to begin with. Why aren't there stricter checks in place? I hope this case prompts some real change so that no other child suffers like Major did. Thinking about his family during this unimaginable time. ?️
