I’ve been following the disappearance of Sheng Xu for a little while now, and something I can’t stop thinking about is the possibility that he might have dyed his hair blue or green. It’s such a small detail, but at the same time, it feels like an important one if he was trying to change his appearance for some reason. Has anyone come across similar cases where a change in hair color led to new leads or insights? Also, considering the limited information we have, do you guys think the delay in releasing details about the location and clothing is odd? Maybe there’s a strategic reason for withholding info, but with cases like this, where public tips can be crucial, it's puzzling. Thoughts?

Has anyone else noticed the lack of focus on Sheng Xu's possible name change to "Chris"? It’s odd that more attention hasn't been given to this detail. Name changes can sometimes be significant in missing person cases, especially if he was trying to start fresh somewhere or if he just preferred to be called Chris for personal reasons. If he introduced himself as Chris, people who might have interacted with him after his disappearance might not even know they're thinking about the same person. Does anyone have thoughts on how much this might have hindered the search efforts? It's been a few years, but small details like this can make a difference.
