Has anyone else looked into the angle of Parks Whitney's military background? I can't help but wonder if his time in Germany might have had some lingering effects that contributed to his disappearance. Serving overseas can be hugely stressful, and it often leaves a lasting impact on mental health.
The fact that Parks was under significant stress at the time of his disappearance could potentially be connected to his military service. PTSD or related mental health issues might have influenced his decision to leave, or perhaps he felt the need to isolate himself. It's also worth considering if anyone from his military past reached out to him around the time he vanished—either in person or through some kind of communication.
Did anyone ever look into contacts from his time overseas or military records for clues? Maybe there’s more to those years that could shed light on his disappearance. Would love to hear thoughts or any info others might have come across.
I was doing some digging and found a really peculiar detail about Parks Whitney's case that I haven't seen discussed much. It's about his car being found in Petrolia and how he reportedly handed the keys to a construction worker. Does anyone else find this a bit strange? I mean, if Parks was trying to start over or disappear intentionally, why hand over the keys like that unless he trusted the worker, or was it a spur-of-the-moment decision? Also, Petrolia is a ways from Antioch, so did he have a plan to get further or was he meeting someone else? Just trying to wrap my head around it. Anyone have theories or similar case patterns they've seen?
