Does anyone else find it strange that James Martin Vette's disappearance hasn't gotten more media attention over the years? I've been digging around online, and it seems like there's barely any coverage about his case. You'd think with a missing person, especially one who's been gone for nearly two decades, there would be more buzz, more leads, or at least some updates from the Yuba City Police Department. I know older cases can sometimes lose steam, but it's troubling that there's so little known about the circumstances. Has anyone else noticed this lack of information or have any idea why his case hasn't been publicized more?
Hey everyone,
I'm new here and trying to help piece together anything about James Martin Vette’s case. One thing that piqued my interest is the role technology might play in solving older missing persons cases like his. I know it’s been almost two decades since he disappeared, but does anyone have insight into how advancements in technology, like enhanced facial recognition or social media tracking, could be used in cases where there’s so little to go on?
I understand that there weren’t as many digital trails back in 2005, but it’s fascinating (and kind of hopeful) to think about how something like improved DNA testing or even online databases could still make a difference. Would appreciate anyone’s thoughts or any similar cases where tech made an impact even after many years.
Thanks!
