Just noticed that Joni's case lacks even basic forensic resources like dental X-rays. It's such an obstacle for any cold case investigation. I wonder if that could change with advancements in DNA technology that weren’t available back in 2016. Could the authorities use familial DNA or other new methods to potentially identify her if remains are found? For those with experience in this area, how do missing person cases fare when dental records or other medical records aren’t available? It'd be great to hear if similar cases have been solved recently despite having such limited resources.
Hello everyone,
I’ve been following Joni Elaine Turner’s case and something about the conflicting dates of her disappearance caught my attention. One report lists her last sighting as August 9, 2016, while another mentions September 8, 2016. Could this mean there was a potential sighting a month later that wasn't fully investigated, or was it simply a clerical error? It just seems odd that two dates are floating around. Does anyone know if there were any leads or updates that came about after September 8?
It's incredibly frustrating how cases like this can have such little information to go on. But this discrepancy might offer a glimmer of hope if it points to a sighting or another piece of the puzzle. If there’s anyone here from the Pasadena area, do you recall any additional news or community efforts around either of these dates back in 2016? Perhaps there’s more insight out there that just hasn’t surfaced digitally yet.
Hoping to hear your thoughts.
