Has anyone else been intrigued by the role that Griffith Park plays in Jean Spangler's disappearance? I mean, think about it—her purse was found near the park entrance with the strap torn, which seems pretty suspicious. Griffith Park is absolutely massive, and it makes you wonder why more searches didn't turn up additional clues. Seriously, it's like 4,000 acres! I remember reading how they organized extensive searches, but it's always bothered me why nothing else was ever found. The location feels significant, almost like someone wanted it to be a clue or a distraction. Just spitballing here, but could it be possible that the area where the purse was found was specifically chosen to divert attention from the real location where something might have happened? Really wish we had more information about any potential activity or witnesses in that area at the time. Thoughts?

I recently stumbled across Jean Spangler's case, and one detail that really caught my attention was the whole "Kirk" in the note found in her purse. It's puzzling how such a tiny piece of the puzzle took on a life of its own. I get why there was initial suspicion around Kirk Douglas given the name, but it's surprising how quickly he was dismissed after providing an alibi. There are so many "what ifs" with this case. Could "Kirk" have been a code name or just an entirely different person unrelated to the Hollywood scene? What intrigues me the most is how this name took on such significance despite the case having so many other complex layers. Does anyone else find this note as perplexing as I do?
