I find it odd that there's so little information available about Maria Silva Romero's disappearance, considering it's been over a decade since she vanished. There must have been witnesses or cameras around, especially in a border city like Calexico. Does anyone know if the Calexico Police Department has re-interviewed people from the area recently or followed up on any new leads? It seems like we should be utilizing technology and social media better to get the word out. I wonder if there’s been any effort to publicize her case in Spanish-speaking communities since she might have been more familiar with those areas. If anyone knows more about outreach efforts or local tips, please share. Every little bit helps in cases like this.
