Has anyone come across Robert Franco Rivera's case? I've been diving into some of these older missing persons cases and stumbled upon his story. One tiny detail that caught my attention was the letter he sent with a return address on the 1600 block of East Fifth Street in Oxnard. Does anyone know if this address was connected to any significant locations back in the 60s, like a boarding house or maybe a business? Could be a long shot, but maybe the place could have had some connection to his disappearance or identity theft. That era had a lot of transient housing and travel going on; just wondering if anyone's looked more into this avenue.
Has anyone here looked into the potential identity theft angle with Robert Franco Rivera's disappearance? The fact that there's a discrepancy in the last seen date, and some family member mentioned a hit on his Social Security number, makes me wonder if someone might have been using his identity. It's not unheard of for missing persons cases to involve identity theft. But then again, why would someone take the risk of using a missing person's details? It seems too coincidental that both the official records and family accounts don't match up. I also find it odd that the Oxnard Police Department hasn't publicly detailed much about any investigations in that direction. Maybe it's just a case of poor record-keeping back in the day, but it's definitely a curious aspect of an already mysterious case. Anyone have any thoughts or similar examples from other cases?
