Has anyone else looked into the weather conditions on June 21, 2004, when the *Relentless* went missing? I’ve been trying to find more info about the sea state that night. Curiously, there were reports from other vessels in the area about unusual weather patterns around the San Francisco shipping lanes. I've read accounts of sudden fog and rough waves cropping up unexpectedly, which could have been a factor in the disappearance. Given David’s experience, I wonder how unexpected weather might have played into their fate, perhaps even disorienting them and leading to the ship's distress beacon triggering. Anyone have access to detailed weather logs or heard firsthand from other fishermen who were out there that night? I truly feel this hasn’t been discussed enough in relation to what might have happened to David and Michael.
