Has anyone looked into local wildlife activity in the Mariposa County area during the time Douglas went missing? Given the remote location where his truck was found, I'm wondering if animal encounters could have played a role in the incident. While I'm not suggesting any definitive theory here, it's curious that the searches didn't turn up more evidence. Just thinking out loud: perhaps Doug encountered wildlife while trying to make his way out of the area, which might have altered his course or escalated the situation. Anyone else have thoughts on this angle or know if authorities considered it?
