Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Marcus Jaran Cleveland, and one aspect that really sticks with me is the impact on the local community. From what I've read, Selma hasn't been a stranger to violence, but this particular incident seems to have hit a nerve. Marcus was reportedly a familiar face around town, and his senseless murder has left so many people reeling. I can’t imagine the pain his friends and family are going through right now. What’s been uplifting, though, is seeing some of the community leaders stepping forward and demanding change. It’s clear that people are fed up with the violence, and there’s a real push to bring peace back to Selma. I really hope the conversation doesn’t just end with talk but translates into real action and change. Does anyone know if there are any community meetings or initiatives starting up in response? I think it’s important for those who cared about Marcus and people simply worried about the direction things are heading to get involved and support one another. Thanks for keeping the discussion going here.
