Hi everyone,
I've been trying to wrap my head around the case of Olivia Oliveros Nunez and Adan Nunez for a while now, particularly the fact that they both went missing after the grandson checked them out of the nursing home. Does anyone know if there was any proper documentation required for him to take them out, like a Leave of Absence form or something that might help trace back their movements? I mean, it's really troubling to think how easily someone could potentially bypass institutional procedures without raising alarms. I wonder if there are any guidelines or laws in California regarding the release of elderly residents from care facilities and, if so, how stringent they are. Could the nursing home’s policies have allowed for something like this to happen just by taking his word for it? Would love to hear if anyone has insights on this angle or how these procedures work in similar cases.

I’ve been thinking a lot about those cases where seniors go missing from care facilities. Olivia Oliveros Nunez and Adan Nunez's situation is especially puzzling to me. Does anyone know if there were any follow-ups on the nursing home’s procedures when they were checked out? Were there any discrepancies in the paperwork or any red flags regarding who can check residents out for trips? Nursing homes usually have strict protocols, or at least they should. I wonder if anything was overlooked. I feel like understanding what happened at that stage could be crucial to figuring out why no one has heard from them in over six years.
