Hey everyone, I was just diving back into the case of Michael Edwin Mikos, and something really stuck out to me about his alias, Mars Diamond Mikos. It just seems like such an unusual name choice. Does anyone think this alias could offer clues about his activities or connections? Maybe he had a whole different persona that people knew him by. Names like that don't just come out of nowhere, right? They usually hold some significance or meaning. Given the lack of info on where he was last seen or with whom, I'm wondering if he might have had a second life revolving around that alias. Maybe some of the folks familiar with Santa Barbara back in 2000 remember hearing that name or seeing someone who fit his description. Just throwing it out there that it might be worth looking more into local communities and groups back then that could give us more context about what "Mars Diamond Mikos" was about. Thoughts? Any insight would be appreciated! Stay safe, [name]

Has anyone else noticed the discrepancy with Michael Edwin Mikos's case in the State of California Department of Justice's missing persons database? It's really puzzling to me. With such limited information available, you’d think they'd keep every detail in check, including maintaining his record in all relevant databases. I understand it's an older case, but this kind of oversight could potentially hinder any new tips or information coming in. Has anyone had experience with missing person cases "dropping off the radar" like this? Maybe it's just a clerical issue, but I can't help feeling it might have implications for how actively his case is being pursued. Thoughts or similar experiences?
