I've been digging into old cold cases lately, and Michael Craig Mcghee's story is haunting. Something that really stands out to me is why a notorious killer like Patrick Kearney would even bother to invite a troubled teen like Michael on a camping trip. I mean, was this a common tactic Kearney used to lure victims, or was there something specific about Michael that made him a target? Kearney seemed to have a knack for picking up hitchhikers, but offering a camping trip feels like a more deliberate way of establishing trust. I keep wondering how many other young people Kearney tried to engage in similar ways. The fact that Michael's body was never found adds another layer of mystery to it all. It makes you think about how many more victims are out there, robbed of their justice and dignity. Anyone else here with any knowledge on how Kearney usually operated?
