Wow, this case is such a mystery, and I can't help but wonder about the details that aren't available online. Does anyone know if there were any search and rescue operations conducted after James Macdonald disappeared? I mean, given the information that he might have fallen from a cliff, you would think there'd be some sort of organized effort to locate him, but I can't find anything about it. Were there any eyewitnesses? Or maybe local news reports from 1984 that could provide more context? It's frustrating that the specific location isn't mentioned because it might give more clues about the circumstances. If anyone has access to archives or knows of any attempts to recover him or his belongings, that would be super helpful.
Did anyone else notice the lack of media coverage on James William Macdonald's case? It's always puzzled me how a young man can just vanish, and there isn't a single detailed news article about it. Given that his disappearance was in San Francisco, you’d think there would be more scrutiny or even rumors. I mean, falling from a cliff into the ocean is dramatic, and usually, there'd be more of a public outcry or at least some local news fallout. Is it possible that details were kept quiet on purpose, or did it just not make the news cycle? If anyone has old newspaper archives from 1984 or know someone who lived in the area back then, it would be interesting to know if they remember hearing anything about it. Maybe there's still someone out there who saw or heard something.
