I've been digging through some old posts about the George Lechuk case and noticed something odd about the abandoned car discovery. His 1995 Acura was found in a parking lot at Point Reyes National Seashore—a location quite a bit out of the way from both his starting point and his planned destination for that tech convention. I can't help but wonder if anyone has looked into why exactly it ended up there. Was Point Reyes a place he had visited before, possibly for hiking or some other reason? It just doesn't seem to fit, and it makes me think there might be more to that particular location being chosen. Does anyone know if there were surveillance cameras in that parking lot back in 2006? It's a long shot, I know, but maybe there could have been footage that wasn't made public.
I’ve been going down the rabbit hole with George Lechuk Jr.’s disappearance, and something that really sticks out to me is the abandoned car situation. His 1995 Acura was found in a North Beach parking lot at Point Reyes, but there’s no sign he ever went into the park. From my research, this seems to be a pretty remote spot to leave a car if he had alternative plans for a weekend conference in Southern California. Why drive all the way out there, abandon your car, and then seemingly vanish? I know Point Reyes is popular with hikers and tourists, so maybe he left it there for some reason unrelated to his disappearance – or maybe someone moved it to throw off the investigation. Either way, it doesn’t add up. Anyone familiar with the area have thoughts on why the car might end up there, or if this location plays a role?
