Hey fellow sleuths,
I’ve been diving deep into the Mary Sue Kitts case, and something curious caught my attention. There's so much focus on Clarence Ray Allen and the tragic events surrounding Mary Sue's murder, but what about the role of the stolen money orders? Over $10,000! That's a lot of cash, especially back in 1974. Who was buying these money orders and for what purpose? Were they ever able to track any of this money and tie it back to other crimes orchestrated by the Allen group? The whole financial angle just seems like more than a part of the heist—maybe even a key to unraveling other connections or crimes. Any insights or theories from others who've researched this case? Would love to hear your thoughts!
Hey everyone,
I've been doing some digging into the Mary Sue Kitts case, and I found a pretty interesting detail about those infamous money orders from Fran's Market. It's crazy to think that the stolen money orders ended up playing such a pivotal role in unraveling the whole crime network run by Clarence Ray Allen. I mean, the fact that Mary Sue felt compelled to confess about cashing them to Bryon Schletewitz... that's a huge risk she took.
I'm wondering if the authorities ever managed to track down any of those money orders after the burglary until Lee Furrow and the others got arrested. Did they have actual evidence tracing back to any transactions? Or were they all cashed so discretely that it was only her confession that put the nail in the coffin?
It seems like such a small but critical piece of the puzzle that not many people talk about in depth. Would love to hear if anyone has more details or theories on this angle!
Thanks for any insights,
