Has anyone else looked into any of the old newspaper archives from around the time Nancy Jean Kaufman disappeared? I tried digging through some local papers from the mid-80s, but there’s so little coverage on her case. It seems odd that there wasn't more of an uproar or at least some follow-up stories, especially since she was last seen on New Year's Day. You'd think there would have been some public interest or a community search effort reported back then. Wonder if anyone local at the time remembers hearing anything in the community that didn't make it into the papers. If someone has access to any archived TV news reports from that period, perhaps there’s something there that wasn’t documented in print? It feels like any lead, even from way back then, could help fill in some gaps.
