Does anyone find it strange that Tigist Hailu's purse and some money were missing from the house when her employers returned? That detail really stands out to me. It makes me wonder if she took her things to leave intentionally or if someone else took her belongings. The fact that her employers mentioned she wanted to stay in the US complicates things, but it doesn't seem like she would just leave the kids alone unless she was in a rush or something unexpected happened. Is it possible someone else could've taken her belongings as part of a staged abduction scenario? It just seems odd that those items were gone too. Would love to hear what others think about this detail.

Just stumbled upon Tigist Hailu's case from 2001, and something about it caught my attention. I find it interesting that Tigist's employers mentioned she wanted to stay in the US. I can't help but wonder if there's more to her story. Maybe she had plans they didn't know about, or perhaps she confided in someone else? It's easy to speculate, of course, but I'm curious if anyone has any more insight into her life outside of her work. Did she have friends she could have stayed with, or places she wanted to go? It's strange her purse went missing too. Makes you think there's more going on behind the scenes. Thoughts?
