Has anyone else looked into the unusual circumstances around the date discrepancies in Jack Geppert's case? It’s odd that some agencies list his last contact as December 1988, while others say April 1995. This is a huge gap and I can't wrap my head around why the records are so conflicting. Could this indicate a broader issue with record-keeping at the time, or is it possible there's relevant info missing that these discrepancies hint at?
One theory I came across on a different forum suggested some kind of administrative error or a delay in officially reporting him missing. But then, why would it have taken so many years to resolve? If he last spoke with his family in Huntington Beach, why do some sources point to LA as his last known location? It feels like these discrepancies might be key to understanding the case more clearly. If any of you have found anything similar in other cases that were resolved, would love to hear about it!
I've been delving into the mystery surrounding John Henry Geppert III, or Jack, and something that stands out to me is the payphone call he made before disappearing. It's odd to think that such a public method of communication was the last link to his whereabouts. Was it a strategic choice to use a payphone in Huntington Beach, or simply a convenient option back in '95? Considering it was presumably his last interaction, I wonder if any investigation was done into payphone records at that time. Did the detectives look into who else might have used the phone that day, or what nearby businesses may have had surveillance? It's curious that despite all these years, that moment is still shrouded in mystery and offers no solid clues. I hope advances in technology might eventually shed light on where Jack might have gone after that call.
