Did anyone pick up on the detail about the mistaken identity claim in the Ryan Addison case? I can't imagine the additional layer of pain it must add for his friends and family, knowing he was taken from them over such a senseless error. It's just so hard to fathom how a young man's life could be snatched away because of wrong information or "mistaken orders" as Artis said. While Artis has shown remorse, it raises such a massive point about the ripple effect of gang violence and how the wrong decisions can lead to devastating consequences. My thoughts are with the Addison family. I hope they're finding strength in each other and in the memories of Ryan, who so clearly touched so many lives with his passion and kindness. Does anyone know if there's been any move towards anti-violence initiatives or community support in the area since this happened? It'd be nice to see some positive steps taken as a legacy for Ryan.
