Hey everyone, I've been following Steven William Delaney's case for a while now, and something that really gets me is the rugged location where they found his remains. For any of you familiar with the Mokelumne River area, you know how steep and challenging that terrain is. It's not the kind of place you'd accidentally wander into, especially considering Steven's size and the gear he was last seen wearing. It makes you wonder: what drew him there? Was he familiar with the area, or was someone else involved in leading him to such a secluded spot? I've read that locals sometimes go out there for hunting or off-the-beaten-path hikes, but it feels odd for someone to end up there without a clear purpose. Thoughts? Would love to hear what you all think about this angle or if anyone knows more about the area itself. Stay safe, everyone!

Has anyone else been following the Steven Delaney case? I'm curious about the terrain where his remains were found. I've read that Ponderosa Way is a pretty steep and rugged area. It makes me wonder how anyone could end up there accidentally. Is it a place people frequently hike or visit? Could someone have unknowingly wandered off and gotten lost, or does it seem more isolated? Would love to hear from anyone familiar with the area who might know more about the kind of conditions or visibility someone might face there. It seems like a real puzzle trying to figure out how exactly he came to be in such a remote spot.
