On the evening of September 20, 2015, 28-year-old Kuron Calleo was shot near M Street and North Capitol Street NW in Washington, D.C. The shooting occurred at about 8:15 p.m. Metropolitan Police Department officers found Calleo suffering from apparent gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene and his death was ruled a homicide.

The MPD opened an investigation and a reward of up to $25,000 was offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
