I’ve been thinking a lot about the possible job interview that Mitch thought he was going to. Does anyone have any info on whether the Forest Service actually had a scheduled meeting with him that day? It seems really strange that there’s no documentation or confirmation about an interview that was supposed to occur. Plus, the whole thing with the white van just doesn’t add up. Normally, you’d expect to see one of their marked green vehicles, right? I’m wondering if anyone else might’ve been contacted by this so-called 'interviewer' around the same time or had similar suspicious encounters. I feel like unraveling that detail could be key in figuring out more about what happened that day. Please share if you’ve got any leads or thoughts on this angle!

Does anyone else find it strange that Mitch left his cigarettes in his sister's car? If he was expecting a quick job interview, maybe he figured he wouldn’t need them, but what if he planned on coming right back to the car? That could indicate he wasn’t planning on going anywhere with that white van for long. It's unsettling how something as small as a forgotten pack of cigarettes can suggest he didn’t expect to vanish. I wonder if there are any other small details we've missed that could shed light on his intentions or the circumstances of that van meeting. Is it possible something went wrong during the interview, assuming that's what it really was? Thoughts?
