Hey everyone, I’ve been reading up on Jonathan Aujay's case, and something that's been tugging at me is the timing of that divorce request. His wife mentioned that he asked for a divorce a month before he went missing. It makes me wonder how this factored into his disappearance. Was it planned, did it spur some emotional reaction, or perhaps it was related to any potential foul play? There’s a lot of theories already, but this angle makes me think about whether someone might have taken advantage of the situation, or if there was more going on in his personal life leading up to the hike. There's so much swirling around about "Operation Silent Thunder" and all the undercover work, but it seems like his personal life and emotional state at that time should be getting more attention. What do folks think? Could the divorce request timing be more significant than it appears on the surface?

Has anyone looked into the possibility of local wildlife being involved in Aujay's disappearance? Considering he was running through the Angeles National Forest, could he have encountered something dangerous? I know it sounds like something out of a nature documentary, but the area is home to mountain lions and other predators. Not saying it's the most likely scenario, especially given the other theories and his background, but it's odd that there was a gunshot heard and no trace of him afterward. Could he have had an unfortunate run-in with the wildlife that necessitated using his firearm, and things went unpredictably from there? I haven't seen much discussion on this angle, and it might be worth considering alongside the other theories.
