Has anyone else been looking into the details of Ward Kakonna Olanna's case and found any info on the search efforts back in '84? I've been digging around to see how extensive they were, especially given the difficult terrain and weather conditions around Nome and Brevig Mission. It's baffling that his remains have never been located, even with someone convicted in connection to his death. It makes me wonder about the resources available for these searches at that time and whether it might be worth revisiting with today's technology. If anyone has old articles or personal stories from that period, I'd really appreciate some insight on this angle.
