Hey everyone, I've been following the discussions about Marc-André Leclerc and Ryan Johnson, and something that caught my attention was the gear they left behind. I know there's been a lot of talk about the climbs and the weather, but what intrigues me is the intention behind leaving their skis and gear at the base. Could it have been a strategic decision to travel lighter for their ascent? As experienced as they both were, it seems deliberate, right? I wonder if this was common practice for them or something specifically linked to the Mendenhall climb. Any insights or theories from fellow climbers or those who knew their styles?
