Anyone else remember the odd sighting reported around the time Richard Butts went missing? I recall someone mentioning in a local forum seeing a man fitting Richard's description walking along the Sterling Highway, heading away from the Fred Meyer store but towards a more remote area. It was a few days after he was last seen, but it always stuck with me. Could it just have been a coincidence, or maybe it was another local? With the recent discovery of his remains near that area, it's making me wonder about what might have been going through his mind then. It seems so out of place, and I'm curious if anyone else has insights or similar memories about it. Perhaps this sighting is unrelated, but strange how things sometimes connect in the end.
