I've been digging into Elizabeth Ann Voorhies's case, and something keeps gnawing at me. Does anyone know more about her social circles in Florence? Being in the area for about 15 years means she likely had a community or some close friends. It's surprising there isn't more information from people who knew her or saw her regularly. Did she have a regular routine or any local hangouts? Maybe someone out there has a small piece of the puzzle they didn't consider important at the time. With the tattoos she had, they stand out enough that perhaps someone recalls seeing her in those last days. Any insights or connections you've got could be helpful!
I was going through some old yearbooks from Lawrenceville High, and I realized Elizabeth Ann Voorhies and I were in the same graduating class. Although we weren't close, I remember her being involved in the art club and always having a sketchbook with her. I wonder if those interests translated into her getting any tattoos? It's eerie to think one of the faces in those yearbook photos disappeared without a trace years later. Has anyone come across any of her old friends or art club members who might shed some light on her life before she moved to Florence? Maybe someone knows if she kept up with her art or if it led her to any specific community in Florence? This case hits a little closer to home than most for me, and I wish we had more clues to work with.
