Has anyone delved into the possibility that the green Ford LTD holds the key to Dora Ruth Smith's disappearance? I mean, the fact that she was seen getting into this particular car the night she went missing seems like a huge clue that might have been overlooked back in 1977. Was there ever an attempt to trace this car? Maybe through DMV records? Also, even though the driver hasn't been identified, surely there were more details or eyewitness accounts from other neighbors that we might have missed. Could there have been some significance to that car, like a family friend who might have had a similar vehicle? It's strange she left without any personal belongings, so I can only assume the person driving had somehow reassured her. If there's anyone in the forum who has insight into vehicle registrations from the '70s in Alabama or any possible connections, your input would be invaluable here.
