Hey sleuthers, I’ve been following the Arlene Montalvo Piceno case closely and wanted to bring up something that hasn’t been discussed much. It’s odd to me that there was such a long delay in filing the missing person report. Arlene wasn’t reported missing until nearly three years after she vanished! ? I’m wondering if anyone knows more about why there was such a gap. Was it because of a lack of family concern, perhaps thinking she was okay in Mexico, or were there obstacles in communicating with authorities? The delay sometimes can be crucial, especially with the loss of potential leads that could have been gathered closer to the time she disappeared. It makes me think about how many more details might’ve been overlooked or lost altogether. Anyone have any insights? Maybe this delay contributed to why she remains missing.
