Hey all, I've been following Donald John Young's case for a bit, and it’s puzzling how back in 1979, there were whispers about him heading to California, but nothing seems to have come of it. Does anyone know if there were any sightings or leads in California around that time? And how common was it for people from Wisconsin to head out west during that era? Just curious about the context; maybe there's still a chance someone recalls seeing him or has a piece of info that’s never been connected to this case. It’s been decades, but with all the databases and social media now, you never know what might turn up. Thoughts?

I've been doing some digging into Donald John Young's case, and I find it intriguing that there was a mention of him possibly heading to California. It's such a long stretch across the country from Wisconsin, especially back in 1979. What drew my curiosity is the potential motivation behind this unsubstantiated move. Was there something or someone specific in California that could have attracted him there? I'm thinking maybe a job opportunity or reconnecting with someone from the past. Sadly, without more information, we can only speculate. Anyone else have theories on why California was mentioned? This case has so many layers, and every little detail might help us connect the dots.
