Did anyone else catch that Edward Thornton's DNA sample is already on file with the Missouri State Highway Patrol? I can't help but wonder if that might actually expedite some part of the investigation. It's at least a small comfort that they're doing everything they can to identify any remains quickly, though I hope it never comes to that. But I find it strange that there's barely any detailed info about his activities or who he might have connected with prior to vanishing. It seems like it would be helpful to know more about the days leading up to April 17. Anyone up for digging into public records or social media to fill in the gaps? Something about this case feels like it’s just waiting for the right detail to surface. What do you all think?
Hey everyone, just coming across Edward Thornton’s case and something caught my attention. Given that there’s a DNA sample on file with the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab, what are the chances this could eventually help in tracking down any leads? I’ve read cases where DNA doesn’t just help in identifying remains but also links to relatives or other individuals who might have crucial info. It’s been a few months now without new updates, and I keep thinking about how tech and science might play a role in solving this. Does anyone here have experience with cases where DNA was a game-changer? Any insights on how long these things might take or additional resources his family could tap into?
