Does anyone else find themselves captivated by Dr. Margaret Mary Baker's story? Her disappearance from Port Angeles and the circumstances around Lake Crescent are truly unsettling. I was curious about the search techniques they mentioned in the case. Given the sheer depth and unique geography of Lake Crescent, do any of you have insight into how effective drones or remotely operated underwater vehicles are in such challenging conditions? It’s fascinating how technology is being used to aid these searches. I hope they eventually discover something that can bring clarity to this mysterious case.
Just thinking out loud here—I’ve been following Dr. Margaret Mary Baker's case closely like a lot of you, and I can’t help but keep going back to the fact that her red kayak was found overturned so close to shore. I know kayak accidents do happen, but someone with her background, especially being an athlete, would likely have enough skills to handle herself out there or at least put out some kind of distress signal. Has there been any talk or media mention of checking for water conditions on Lake Crescent around that time, or maybe looking into whether her kayak could have been tampered with? It seems odd that such an experienced, resourceful person wouldn’t leave more of a trace. Wondering what the rest of the community thinks!
