Hey everyone, I've been following the case of William W. Walburn closely, like many of you. Something that's been nagging at me is the three-year gap between when he was last seen and when the case was officially reported to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office. It feels quite strange to me. Why did it take so long for the case to get into the official system? Are there any instances where a missing person case takes such a length of time to be formally reported? I'm wondering if anyone has insights into how these processes usually go or if there's a specific reason why it might be delayed in this instance. It just feels odd that it sat for so long without being flagged, and I'm hoping to understand this side of things a bit better. Thanks!

Has anyone else been puzzled by the timing of when William W. Walburn's disappearance was actually reported? I can't stop wondering why it took over three years for his case to be officially reported to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. Was it a matter of hesitation, or did something else hold things up? I get there's often a gap, especially with adults who might just decide to take off, but three years seems like a particularly long time. Maybe there are complexities in the family dynamics or communication breakdowns that aren't public. Anyone familiar with similar cases or have insight into what might cause such a delay? It seems especially vital when considering how these early days can be crucial for gathering details that may seem small but turn out to be significant down the line.
