I can't stop thinking about how terrifying and chaotic it must have been outside UAB Hospital when the suspects opened fire again. Can you imagine being there, thinking you've reached safety, only to have more shots fired at you? It's unfathomable. I can't even begin to comprehend the fear and confusion those involved must have felt. My heart really goes out to Markiezia "Lumae" Atkins' loved ones, especially her little daughter, Nevaeh. Such senseless violence is just beyond tragic. I'm hopeful that with the outreach from the Birmingham Police Department, someone will come forward with information. The community needs to rally together and support one another to help put an end to these tragedies. If anyone knows something, don't hesitate to reach out to the authorities. Lumae deserves justice, and so do the other victims and their families. Let's stay vigilant and supportive during such a difficult time.
