Shane Ian Furman, 35, disappeared from Golden Mile Road in Wysox, Bradford County, Pennsylvania on June 21, 2024. He was a passenger in a vehicle with his mother when he suddenly exited the moving car, ran into a nearby wooded area shirtless and wearing shorts and white sneakers, and was not seen again. He did not have his phone or wallet with him.

Family members say Shane appeared to be in a psychotic state, possibly from an adverse reaction to psychiatric medication administered at a facility; his last reported words were that he had to go be with God. The Pennsylvania State Police opened an active missing-person investigation, and local search parties and community pleas asked residents in Wysox, Towanda and nearby Elmira to check outbuildings, sheds and fields.
