Hey everyone, I wanted to bring some attention to the case of Larry D. Perkins Jr. whose life was tragically cut short last year. It’s been quite a while since his remains were found tragically burning on Jersey Street, and it’s deeply unsettling to think that no arrests have been made yet. I keep thinking about the early morning hours when Larry’s remains were discovered, and it just raises so many questions. How could this happen without anyone seeing something? It’s such a busy neighborhood at times, someone must have witnessed something that could point the investigation in the right direction. My heart goes out to Larry’s family and everyone who knew him. Birmingham saw a troubling rise in homicides in 2022, which makes it even more important for us as a community to be vigilant and supportive of each other. If anyone out there has even the smallest piece of information, please consider coming forward. Resolving cases like this not only brings justice to the victims and their loved ones but also helps all of us feel a little safer in our community.
